Problem: When I start allegiance, ASGS logs on without issue, but then brings up the black screen, as if to load allegiance. It then crashes to the desktop, and alternates between the desktop and a black screen until I alt+f4. I have FIXED this problem by installing the windows 7 compatible version of the ASGS .exe . This is however only a temporary fix, as I can only successfully launch the game once. Any time I want to play, I have to re-copy the .exe. While I can still play, this is an inconvenience, and I suspect just an issue with an ASGS setting which is trying to auto update the exe.?

Just something to add: Even if I do not close ASGS, the next time I try to launch allegiance it will do the repeat crashes.

You HAVE to have .Net 2.0 installed. But I think windows 7 already comes with it installed.

I believe you're probably right, as when I installed 3.5 it basically told me I had it, just needed to activate it.

I don't have AV or a Firewall. The only thing that could be considered AV would be the build in "are you sure you want to run this untrusted exe?" windows always asks me.

I saw you in game.What fixed it?

I've always been able to get in, I can fix it by replacing the ASGSclient.exe, but I have to do so -every- time I open up allegiance. It's at the point where I keep a copy on my desktop for easy access of copying .
