Hey guys, what would be the appropriate forum to post things such as "looking to join a squad"? The individual squad forums appear to be private. Thanks.

Check the wiki e.g. http://www.freeallegiance.org/FAW/index.php/Xenotech

Check the recruitment policies, PM SL's/ASL's of said squads if they are accepting recruits

Send a PM to Broodwich. He coordinates all recruitment for all squads an anyone interested in joining a squad, or even in local weather forecasts and/or movie listings should send him a PM!

Do we want someone to join a squad if he/she doesnt know how to join? He seems to be a good match for SPQR though.

It's not so much I don't know how to join a squad, but rather, noticed we lack a forum for such open recruitment. The purpose of the post was to scout out any 'official' method the community has established for recruitment. It is also an easy way of determining which squads are openly interested in more pilots, if any. If not, I'm fine with pick up games. I've played those for 5 years.

Anyway, now that I've taken the bait, feel free to flame away.

Most forums for squads allow you to join a general part of their forum to say hi and to request to join. Which squad are you interested in? Then talk to someone with a ^ from that squad next time you see them. Every squad is looking for good players to bolster their ranks of active player who will be able to make a game.

Cheez that wasnt a shot at SPQR, ive seen renagade play, he is a good match for SPQR:)

And jpomail requested to join BS was voted on and accepted then disappeared because of PC problems and when he came back he saw he had been accepted and then decide to make prob the dumbest post ive ever seen:)
