Hey, I've got a busy weekend ahead of me so don't have much time to waffle on.... but I thought I should get this thread up as people have already started to vote...

Last week...

Last week saw an unprecedented result - DNF (did not finish) as the server crashed in the middle of the ACE-RT game, which was turning into a great match from what I hear. As far as I know, a date has not been set for the reply. RT are now well behind in terms of numbers of games played so don't take their league position to be a true representation of how they are doing :) Elsewhere there were the expected wins for SysX over SF, and PK over SRM - featuring the worst match thread ever...

This week...

This week also brings with it an (almost) unprecedented situation - 4 games all happening all at the same time!

The first two games, PK vs BSPQR and SysX vs SRM should be straightforward affairs, with the top two-ranked squads taking on the two weakest squads, and at home to boot. It should be routine victories for PK and SysX.

Next up is RT vs SF... again this should be a victory for the higher-ranked team, RT. These two always have good games and both teams should be looking forward to it, as SF continue their elusive search for a win against one of the stronger teams. However with home advantage for RT, and Xipe recently being removed from SF for disciplinary reasons, I don't think this will be the time it will happen for SF, though they are sure to put up a good fight as ever.

Finally comes the hardest-to-call game of the weekend, as XT play ACE... as I mentioned last week, these two are yet to win any match against "top 5" teams, a record which will end with this match. The winner of this will be favourites to finish 4th & have a chance of a top 3 finish. For the losers - the league and a probable 5th place finish would have be considered a disappointment. I think XT are favourites for this game, but I'm going to go for ACE anyway :P

Next week...

Arguably the least-competitive week of the competition; all 3 matches have clear favourites in XT, RT and SysX. I would say SF are the most likely to cause an upset. Then there is a week's break until the league resumes on April 5th.

SF vs XT
SRM vs RT
BSPQR vs SysX

Pre-match votes.... PK 48 - 1 BSPQR, SysX 40 - 4 SRM, RT 39 - 4 SF, XT 16 - 26 ACE

These are not the droids you are looking for.

Culmination's return is the bigger story here. Oh wait... I wasn't supposed to say anything...

ACE vs XT looks like the hot ticket for this weekend, both with some old/new higher stakes cards into their fold.

Fraps it!

what I don't get is how it says that there have been 18 votes in the poll, but if you add up all the "I am in this squad" numbers it comes out to 20, so either there is some mods haxing the results or some voobs thinking they are in 2 or 3 squads

Well, to be fair, Sheff has been in 3 different squads with different matches this weekend over the past 24 hours.
