In order to get the autoupdate to do the bsg_colvip2.cvh file, you need to right-click the shortcut and run it as administrator.

Not sure about the not connecting to the server, though. that may be your firewall

I tried that for the auto update and it didnt work thats why i just manually input the file. I tried turning off my firewall but that dint work.

i dont know what else to do.

We have not yet come across a firewall that can be simply 'turned off' and have any effect on allegiance. They either have to be uninstalled or turned off via some route that only Amsun truly knows.

Ignore the vista bashing and download:
http://www.matchfiregames.net/allegiance/bsg_artwork.zip
Unzip it into your allegiance artwork folder.

Are you connected to your router by wireless connection ?
Switch to cable connection (RJ45) and try again.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance and locate the ASGS.exe file. Right click ASGSClient.exe and select "run as administrator".

With ASGS up and running but before you login, click "Help" from the ASGS drop down menu and then select "Update / Repair critical files.
