How is pilot's rank calculated? Surely it isn't based on points:

callsign stuff points rank
blackink ... 1640 Inter. 6
Grzegt ... 1715 Inter. 5

Is it some AllegSkill pre-release or something...

We need a bot so that we can reply and lock threads with standard answers with a single post like:

#ranks_are_cached

Last sunday I ended up with 2.2k points as an Inter 6

Those ranks are based on those points.

Those points are not the points from in-game, though.

Also - those points are updated automatically, while the ranks are only updated on ASGS login

correct understandable answer

end game points mean nothing with regard to ranking on the leader board and are based on old MS day stuff

rank based points currently utilize a system called HELO and based on whether you won or lost and nothing more

I was pretty sure Grzegt was speaking about the points column in the leaderboard which really is the HELO rank in numbers.

On a related point, I appear to have completely nailed the inter/vet boundary; I've changed between inter 7 and vet 1 at least once a week for the last few weeks. Does this make me the most average player in the game? Or perhaps the most average stacker/anti-stacker?
