Squad Game RT vs XT on #GPZ - DN 4.60 - /19/10/2008:

grav@RT (Yellow/IC/AdvSup/Exp) [map] vs ^Virulence@XT (Blue/Nix/SY) [sett]

(stats by Cort: click)

Gamesize: 14vs13 (became 13vs12 after 23mins)
Duration: 40mins
Map: Topaz
Sett: 1.0 / 1.25 / Res: Normal / Con: High / Treasure: Normal SY On

Summary:

RT's OP went midhigh and TP high to a nice U next to our home. XT builds TP in the middle next to their home but loses the opening OP to RT's rush. XT can build the next OP midlow while RT starts to harrass their eco after the Exp came up. XT miners start to die but they manage to push a SY low. RT starts to put more pressure on XT's eco and eventually kills all miners. Home Sup comes up and gets upgraded for galvs. XT has lt class up but corv and attack carrier get shredded by AdvFigs/Ints. After clearing the map with galvs RT gets a forward Sup and bombs Garr/SY in quick succession.

Result: » RT wins

ps: You've been our nemesis for years XT and all those past games against you teached us valuable lessons. Thanks for the game - looking forward to our next encounter!

Grav, I just finally got it.

Grav RT... gravity...

Anyways, congrats RT! From what I hear you're the second youngest squad around, and also (apparently) at least third best!

Third youngest. Reincarnated SteelFury is newer, and of course Legion is the newest.

Excellent work RollingThunder! In my books Grav is one of the greatest commanders in Allegiance, and always nice to fly for. :iluv:

Try again.... we are older than Wildcards too. Well, in that our squad has been around longer - the Wildcards are of course the old men of allegiance so we do not claim to be older than them in that sense :)

However SF are a reincarnation, and wildcards were started by a lot of older vets, so RT in that sense are considered "new" - barring perhaps SF and the legion I think we have the smallest proportion of players who were around in the microsoft days (if any). Well now we have beaten every squad so no longer can we be considered the newbie squad :)

QUOTE Grav RT... gravity...[/quote]

That's sheer coincidence actually! He was grav (or grv) before he joined RT.

XT, what went on with this game? I kept checking in on it and I swear your comm kept changing?
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Night quit at the 23min mark, after XT lost the opening op con and all miners. I'd guess there was some switching around involved afterwards (when I looked, Void picked it up... not sure who had it at the end though).

I don't know why he had to leave and I am not going to speculate on it. Fact is, while Cort was sitting on our side the rest of XT stood their man and fought honourable until the end and that's what should be remembered about this game.

Congratz RT on the wins, you've come a long way and it's truly great to see your progress especially for those long-timers.

I can't wait to exact my revenge on you though. So be warned! :P

Congratulations RT. :)

I still say SF is still one of the oldest squadrons regardless if we were reformed or not. The core of SF was reformed from original SF pilots including myself. We're not "new".
