XT Leadership Change

Hello everybody,

Due to a recent defeat by SysX on Sunday, XT had some very serious discussions about the future of our squad. As many of you know, there was a thread awhile back where the fate of XT remained somewhat nebulous, with various community members (XT members included) claiming that XT was "on the outs." This thread was merely the tip of the real iceberg, as much more heated and lengthy discussions had been going on in the private XT forums for quite awhile. The departure of Shizoku and the disappearance of Noir and Kumquat were the main instigators of these issues, along with a string of lackluster squad game performances.

After several days of intense debate, we've decided that a dramatic change in leadership is needed. While Virulence is a decent pilot, we found his leadership skills to be severely lacking and his organization of the squad to be nonexistent. We finally created a poll, and sought to find a new leader that would bring a firm hand and a new image to XT.

It is with much pleasure that I inform the Allegiance community that I have been elected the new leader of XT. While the voting process was intense over the past couple of days, I narrowly defeated TheVoid as new squad leader.

While XT does not usually wish to bring it's inner workings out into the public eye, I seek to change this policy. XT is going to move away from a private, "elite-only" squad to something more accepting of brand new pilots and from a much larger base of applicants. While the new XT would prefer pilots with Cadet wings, it is not a necessity. As new squad leader of XT, I seek to accept approximately 90% of all applicants. The only requirement will be to pass a brief 10 minute flight test to make sure you have a decent understanding of ship movement in the Allegiance universe.

I understand that many of you will think that this is a joke, but please do not take it as such. The fact that the inner workings of XT did leak out onto these community boards should indicate how fierce and lengthy our discussions really were. This may seem odd and sudden to a community used to stability, but change is good, and I hope to change XT for the better.

Our new mission statement is to create a friendly, open squad that is more focused on player enjoyment rather than wins and kills.

If anybody has any questions, please contact Shizoku, our newly appointed community relations officer, who has agreed to return to the game in order to further this new and improved XT image!
