Been busy for the last 4 months now alleg won't run. Uninstalled Alleg and dl'd the installer. Now it says I need net 1.1
WTF didn't I hear 2.0 needed to be installed. Anyway when I run the installer all I get is a message to go to MS and install net 1.1 Any idea what I am doing wrong. I really wanted to blow something up this evening, preferably in the cyber world.

I've not done this so if my info is incorrect hopefully someone here will correct me. I just wanted to get you a quick reply.
Download and install .NET 1.1 from Microsoft. 1.1, 2.0, etc can all CO-EXIST.
Run the installer (off the download section of this site). Install it in the default location (or at least on the C: drive)
Don't start Allegiance/ASGS yet. The version of ASGS in the installer won't run with 2.0+ versions of .NET. Yes we know we need to update the installer.
Get this http://downloads.alleg.net/asgs/asgs.zip
Unzip and place the two files in your Allegiance folder, overwriting the old versions.
Now start Allegiance with the "Allegiance Online" icon on your dekstop (or you can directly run ASGS.exe from the allegiance folder).
It will likely complain about an invalid signature and ask you to repair it. Say yes. You may have to do this twice. To save time here before "Launch"ing the game from ASGS you can go right to the Help tab on ASGS and "Repair/Update critical files". Once updated you won't have to do this again.
