The faction of balance

BaseHull:1
BaseShd:1
ShipHull:1
ShipShd:1
Sensors:1

Research:2 minutes (normal)
EWRange:1

---------------------
I came up with this idea via inspiration of Nintendo's Super Mario. In most of the games that he has appeared in, he is balanced in all aspects of the game mechanics. (e.g. In Super Smash Bros, Mario has balanced speed, attack, endurance, etc.)

Stop posting your Core dev in Art dev and making me think that someone is actually doing something in my forum. /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

This is also the Ingame Content forum... doesn't factions count as ingame content?

It could theoretically be used to balance the other factions by having them fight the "balanced" faction like FreeBeer has suggested, and yes, this belongs in Core Dev rather than Art Dev.

What? FreeBeer has suggested this before me?

So this topic shouldn't be here in the first place?

...ok...

With the subject of this thread being misplaced out of the way, I'll say that a balanced faction in all aspects should turn out to be extremely versatile, not having any disadvantages (except for the fact that the faction does not specialise in a specific area)

There's a lot more then just ICE values to say how balanced a faction is. Base design and ship size and gun layouts are huge factors as well. Giga normal ints have pretty bad gunmounts by spreading too much, Rix ones are nice and tights, TF and Pheonix ints are so flat it makes them harder to hit etc...
