I'm sure this has come up before, but how hard would it be to implement in game voice? Not enough people are on TS and typing while trying to fly/ command is a pain in the ass. I was just thinking that maybe PU games wouldn't be so damn disorganized if at least the commander could tell people what to do.

Put TS into Allegiance.
Was going to try the unsupported DirectPlayVoice (yah right).
TeamSpeak Systems GmbH's v3 will have an SDK
# Completely redesigned SDK based architecture, for 100% integration capabilities into existing products or services
# Fully integrated 3D Sound support for both Client and SDK, enabling spacial placement of sound from multiple directions
Once it's ready I'd be a good bitch and try to do it right (like Valves)

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

Personally TS does nothing but confuse the hell out of me, I can't understand the voices, I don't even know who they are... reading chat is so much easier for me

Speech to text would be nice though...

I believe TrackBack made some program to get voices from a mic and it would to a corresponding VC. Don't think it was speech-text though.

TS codecs are way too low in conjunction with the kinds of mics you people buy.

You need ventrilo quality codecs, and any kind of audible voice puts strain on the server best put on a separate one.

ts stinks cause if a comm wanted to use it he would have to tell everyone what channel to sign onto when the game started and it just takes to much time, everyone alt tabbing and such. it would make the game experience allot better imho to have something integrated. is it possible to run mains on stripe and planet and an integrated mic program launched by asgs on one of the slower servers? that would probably be a huge project. maybe planet could handle it by itself.

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.
