OK this is what I think the situation is - tell me if I am right or wrong /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
1) ASGS was built on .NET 1.1, and was incompatible with .NET 2.0.
2) Vista SP1 pushes .NET 2.0 onto the system.
3) Therefore, Vista SP1 = no allegiance.
4) However, A new version of ASGS compatible with .NET 2.0 has since been released.
5) So, does this mean SP1 is OK to install now?
I only ask because I think I need .NET 2.0 installed to get SQL Server Express to install properly, but if I try to manually install .NET 2.0 it says that it is already installed as part of the operating system, which I don't think is true (for example, I can't see it on the add/remove program list but I can see .NET 1.1 on there).
