Lets say a constructor just dived into a rock, what will happen if you destroy the asteroid durring this time? (assuming that you fire the killing shot BEFORE the shield covers the asteroid)

I might see about testing this later.
Currently I think it may do one of the following:

-The constructor will cease building and the protective bubble will fade out.
-The constructor and shield will disapear along with the rock.
-The base will build anyways.
-The server will crash.
-The rock will be invulnerable immediatly after it makes contact with the rock.

...Sooo....???

Why don't you just test it? it should only take 2 mins with rix

When a base is built, it inherits the rock's "health" as its starting hull health. Of you almost kill a rock and build a base on it, it will only start with a sliver of hull.

If the rock explodes during building, then the base dies.

Is it based on the accual value or the percentage?

The percentage weylin. Rock HP is scaled by radius and is slightly different for each rock. If it was the accual value you'd have multiple ops with different total hp which would blow.

Yeah. The commander said his rocks were too small.

No doubt about it, in a battle between two comms, always bet on the one with the bigger rocks.

That just sounds wrong ...

Another thing I noticed is that some generic asteroids cant be built on? Usually the very large ones.

I've experienced that same problem. Sometimes, it's con specific but it varies with each con. I think it's a bug, I'm not sure, as I was really really sleepy when I first discovered it.
