Was screwing around late night over here, and we both agreed to do a cap warz. Map was pinwheel, and we deployed RIX caps against GT.

by 12 minutes, we have one battleship and saxy's dest watching as 20 miners mine like crazy for the rocks. (10 each side)

Team gets cocky and they HOD'ed us. Every miner died, and most rocks were totally obliterated. Saxy's clearly dead, whilst my battleship is still standing with 1/2hp left.

Now, I thought the HOD was meant to kill anything

they Ho'ed the sector again, and what was a +100 rock sector, left only the buildings and 4 or five normal rocks.

I'm just amazed at the power to literally blast rocks....and miners of course.

Something creepy about 20 miner kills in a split second... /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Should the HOD be much more powerful vs CAps then?

Noir added res resistance for cap shields and nix ass shields. That's why you lived.

Harbinger of Destruction. One shot two sector killa with a bad attitude.

Also useful for when you HAVE to finish the game, no matter what.

I used it for a finishing blow in a real game once. Flew it myself after having researched it : P

Was IO, Ic v Gt.

I commed GT with the intention of using HoD /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> With Rix Dests out there I knew I couldn't even reach the aleph in the DM sector before I die, so I bought another SY, launched at home and resonated.

Had zero miners after the second HoD, note to self: next time, use a map with at least another sector between home and DM sector /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I dunno... I personally feel that if a bomb is so $#@!ing powerful to own rocks and bases, then why the hell would a capship have more resistance to the resonator?

It just sounds crazy, as in like, this cap has more hull and shields than a heavily upgraded base.

But, hey, its not everyday we play with these things

Duong, I don't think he realized how it would affect HoD. The changes were made to make regular res more useful. If Noir raises the HoD damage enough, it'll work as usual.

I am of the opinion that HOD should kill everything. I mean... it brings DOOM. Not partial destruction.
