today i commanded two low money games, and let me tell you, they are a whole different world.
i would love to see more of those games, where every con and miner counts! where you can´t just buy an op after another! and upgrading a techbase is a game!
now seriously, why does nobody play on low settings? i remember loser bracket finals VS @PK was the first game i played with below average money settings, but it really adds up to the challenge! you must out econ the other guy one way or the other, and here bombers are a viable option (since no techbase can be upgraded until up to 25 mins in at least). Massive amounts of teamwork are required (even more than on other settings)

Because on low money you practically have too resign if you lose your opening con... Ooo wait nvm

Because commanders just go low money factions, such as belters or bios, which negates the whole point of turning money settings down.
Now, if you talk about low money games with regular money factions then I totally agree with you.
Noir once said the factions are designed to be balanced for med med games, not high high. He then joked that he should just quadruple the costs for everything, IIRC.

I would play em. Would be a lot of fun. Really makes a comm think about his/her moves more. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Because alot of commanders aren't comfortable with commanding on low money.

Because most comms can't run a game without their 1.25 money, it makes you actually have to priorities. And you can easily beat bios on low money settings with GT or IC etc.

Because, as was said, the teamwork required is much more than what most pickup games would be able to provide. I'd imagine squad games might roll that way.

For starting this thread, Evin earned himself a reprieve from my ignore list.

And clay just earned a spot on mine, for always posting about his ignore list status.
I would understand a few times, but earning a "Reprieve"? What is this?

You have juck saying everyone will pick low money settings factions, then Narg saying that IC (who isn't a low money faction I assume?) can easily beat BIOS... What's up there?
