hi, and sorry for yet another mapping question... but I can't seem to find and answer in previous posts.

I'd like to map the view left/right/rear... commands to any other keyboard buttons but have not been successful- I get no response exept when keys are assingned as hat. -any ideas?

Edit - I've already cleared all joystick functions from mapping screen.

I am at work, so this is by memory. Way at the bottom of the mapping screen there is a toggle for something to do with the hat button. Try toggling it and remapping. I personally do not use any of the side views. I tend to use F3 for that. So I can not say if this should work or not. Give it a try.

It doesn't work. I tried this a while ago to no avail. It's apparently a bug in the code: no idea if it's slated to be fixed for R4 or not.

If you REALLY want, you can probably get around it by installing software to map keystrokes to a psuedo-joystick's hat control.

I looked a while back for a hat emulator. No dice.

Think I can live without it.
