Alrighty

Windows Version (and Service Packs): Currently i have Vista Ultimate now (it's worth it i managed to get alleg runing)
Processor Speed: AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile technology processor Dual i think 2.5ghz
RAM: 2gigs i think
Video Card (Make and Model#): ATI Radeon Xpress 1500 (the lastest one i can get)
Sound Card (Make and Model#):realtek High definition audio
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): DSL speed on cables
Modem (Make and Model#): I need to get a upgrade on this, i am currently on a fax modem i think
Router (Make and Model#): i'm not usuing a router
Internet Service Provider(company name): I think it's Time Warner
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): O RIT Campus
Installed Mods: The usual Mesialonline.com mod (on my last help)

Problem Encountered at Step #: (read the "What Should Happen" for this step#)
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): ASGS update
What Error Message: error code 183 (cannot copy over files)
Comments (What you tried, description, etc): I deleted the same types of files, and let it continue, but i am at the point where i cant find one of the file that i need to delete and replace it with, and it is called ".\filelist.txt" it doesnt tell me where it's supposed to go at all so i'm wondering if someone can help me out. I reinstalled twice now, i can get in the first time but if i try to get in again it updates and keeps being stupid and wont overwrite the file, so it keeps asking me to move it (actually retry moving)

so i'm hoping this is just a glitch that can be fixed and easily.

not sure what you mean, but filelist.txt should be in your main /Allegiance/ folder. It is the list of all the alleg files on your system that Autoupdate uses to see if you have everything or not.

If the problem is that it won't overwrite the old version, I'd just delete it and take whatever autoupdate gives you.

I guess you are not running Allegiance as admin.

Check the NTFS rights on the Allegiance folder, make sure you have full rights with your current user!

Vista has a beautiful feature where as an admin, you don't have admin rights on your files. Its great!

Also, reinstall your chatpack and see if it helps.

Dutch, you may have to right click on ASAGupdater.exe and ASGSClient.exe and grant them admin rights.
