Failing in a #resign attempt especially while the team has a viable chance of winning, will earn an equal #resign ala the 1 person variety upon yourself... also known as a boot. Now should circumstances require a resign, your commander in almost all cases will be able to see that and can be reminded by a simple PM suggesting a tactic and/or a resign possibility.
When a team loses heart they lose the game. This is in regards to the Whorez vs Narg game where Whorez promoted me to Comm after being unable to get the team to work together and win, despite the team having a Garr, 2 Exp, 2 Pali, and a Research.
In closing, if a resign is posted and fails, do not, under any circumstances spam resigns after, that's extremely poor gamesmanship when the Team has made it's (overwhelming) decision to soldier on and attempt to win the game.
Nothing personal.
I love bunnies.

One of the no vote passed by ONE VOTE (thanks to 4 abstains). The others passed by more becuase many of the people who voted "yes" got booted or left. I was happy to get booted, we were not going to win, the more of our team that left the quicker the game would end /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> It was kinda weird, like the opposite of a boot-resign, some 4 or 5 of us getting booted so that future resign votes would definitely fail rather than possibly fail, lol.
Also, nothing personal.

Yea there were like 4 of them in 60 seconds there. One of them from Whorez just before I took over. With all that though, we lost our Garr from a solo bbr. Lost a Pali from a tp2. So I tried to turn it around though losing those 2 bases kind of killed the chance to do anything then turtle. Hence I posted a resign after we lost those 4 players and 2 bases in 90 secs.
One of the things to keep in mind, is that around 1/3 of the players were calling for the heads of the resign posters. People like to finish games if it's not completely hopeless (and even then many want to finish it anyway).

n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...
That's also true, it just makes more sense to give them a PM saying something like "well, we could xyz or resign, what do you think?", something to encourage them. That and the fact that with the #mutiny thingy, we should try and come up with ways to encourage the still lacking comms to actually get in there and comm without being psychologically scarred (sic) for life. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
