CPU:Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
RAM:1024 MB (2x512MB Kingston)
Video Card (Make and Model#): nVidia Geforce 6600GT (AGP)
Sound Card (Make and Model#):Realtek AC'97 Audio
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): DSL Connection in 1024Kbps-1Mbps speed

Router (Make and Model#):No router
Internet Service Provider(company name):OTEnet
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country):Kavala, Greece

Problem Encountered at Step 13
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance):Allegiance
What Error Message: While in game, the game crashes back to desktop, and the line EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION is written in the launcher's console.
As i noticed, the game crashes usually when 9-10 minutes have past... Note that i always Turn the Virtual Joystick On, as i dont have a real one. I also tried with firewall disabled, but the problem insists.
Thank you for reading and i hope to get answers as soon as possible
Crashes while In-Game--> EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION is one of the most generic error messages ever. It's almost like the computer is saying "I crashed, so I crashed". Try to find out if it crashes when you play as or against a particular faction as errors or missing files can cause this error. It might also be caused by something with your computer.
One of the fixes that have helped this is installing the latest DirectX runtimes. You can get them from here. Once you download the installer and double click on it, it'll ask for a directory to extract to. Once it finishes doing that, goto the directory you gave it and run DXSetup.exe. This will update your DirectX.
Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, sound card and motherboard chipset.

I tried all these, however the problem insists! I dont see how the computer could cause the problem... Anyway, ill check back tomorrow
I had a similar problem after I switched the Particles option to High, it randomly crashed to desktop for a while until I figured out it was because of the Particles. Switched it back to Normal and haven't crashed since.

That's interesting Kap. I will test it, as I have encountered the same error many times.
Technically Access violation is actually rather strictly defined error. It means that the program tried to read (or write) memory it lacked permission to touch. Sadly Allegiance is written in VC++ so tracking down these errors is hard.

I hope for the best Avalance, as for Kap, ill try his hint, i DID change the particles to high... Hmmmm
Edit: Ok the problem is still there, and i still get crashes! I tried to turn particles off, 3d accelaration off, but nothing, it kept crashing me back to the desktop. Before the crash, theres an 1-second screen with Scrumbled graphics, so it must be the video card... I even played Oblivion in High Res with my 6600GT, why cant it support such a little demanding game /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
Oh, my usual ping is around 80-100ms, never higher

NAP_Master, it's best if you open your own thread. Follow the template found here so that the helpline folks have some information from which to work. Thanks!
