I was in the lobby just a few minutes ago and one of the newbie servers currently had 14 players in it. Although it is one of the 2 newbie servers it was set up as an Nov. Only server. I was going to join anyway against my better judgment, but I chose not too. I was afraid I would get into trouble if I did, so I decided to post this thread and ask what are the rules on creating a game in the newbie servers?

The only rule on the newbie server is that your rank has to be below 8.. so if you are a newbie you can join.. even if it is your first time playing the game.. (what is more.. you are more then welcome to join!)

I am very sorry I did not think fully before I posted, Nov. Only means "Novice Only" I did not think to relate a Newbie to a Novice. My mistake, I apologize I did not think before I posted.

Hey, no problem man /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Make sure to ask questions as you think of them, this game takes a while to get the hang of /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Err, I thought you had to still have a newb tag, doesn't it end at like (4) now?

You must be a (7) or under to use the newbie servers. This is across the entirety of the Allegiance lobby as far as I can tell, No matter who hosts the game server itself.

I did some looking on the newbie boot issue, but I couldn't find any new information, so I assume that it's the same as it was last time I heard an official ruling: booting anyone who is a (4) or lower without PM'ing both BV and the target banee will result in you getting your hind end handed to you by a suddenly-cranky dutch biker dude with lots of forum priveleges and pretty good aim.

Just check the (number) next to your name. If it's (7) or less, you should be fine when it comes to playing on the newbie servers.

(edit -- where are my manners? sheesh! Enjoy the game Big_Boomer. The newbie server is a great place to figure things out when you're brand new and have gone through the training missions. If you're ranked higher than (7), you can always ask someone to join you on a different server than the main game so you can figure a few more things out. I typically play with my joystick settings and increase my faction knowledge by asking a bored squadmate to sit on a team opposite me on an unoccupied server.I also reccomend the @Cadet course. I did it about a year ago and really really enjoyed it. Everyone else who's completed it seems to have the same opinion.)
