played 2 games where we stacked our side with many noobs.

3 vets and 6 under 4's

against a team of all vets 5 of them.

How is it that we had a 95% stack?

because it would seem that noobs are being weighed as vets....

so what elo value does a 0 have?

They have a value of (1), though TE is very much interested in giving them a stronger weight, and I think it's a good idea to do so.
n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...

That's a problem on my end that I need to fix... my other job /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> is keeping me very busy right now - so don't worry about the end of game ELO thing. I'll rerun the games after I have a chance to fix the bug.

(i.e. a brand new (0) still has an elo of 1500 and 1500 is being used for calcs on the ELO side.)

ah... yeah, just had a brush with one of those.

Also, in the same game I had about 7 (0)'s, and a couple of other (#)'s but only about half of them showed up in the recentgames... is that a related bug?

Thanks for clearing this up before I even asked the question.

Yup, again once the bug is fixed, I'll rerun the games so that ones that should have counted will count, and vice versa.

Tag does not recognize new names at once. Their "account" is created after their first appearance on recentgames.

Having seen the "newbie stacking" tactic I think we should have greater weight. anyways, it helps build our self esteem /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
