Spidey (IC) vs Superstar(Aarm?)(GT) on Letterbox (which is a lovely map btw)
4:26 later and all tech rocks are gone...we finally win the game with 20 xrm bombers ripped in from an adjacent sector with tp 2
GG Superstar
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Well, it has like 3 or 4 relatively safe mining sectors, which are hard(er) to reach for enemy constructors/ships, which in turn means each team will develop some advanced tech base for sure and will probably get another tech on a side. Both those tech bases will be safe and sound for quite a while as well.
Next, most of the fighting takes place in upper and lower triangles (in the middle of the map), which is actually 6 sectors to play around with. After one side achieves superiority in "the triangle" they can press on to the next "line of sectors" and fight on the new front next to main enemy sectors. So it's like a two phased battle there to actually reach the heart of enemy territory. The upper and lower triangle is also clearly divided, so it gives a nice feeling of two entirely separate battlefields, yet they are both important because they protect your entire "flank" of home sectors.
Of course, make no mistake, this is a map for a lot of players, and it plays out very well indeed with 20 - 30 per side.

Ah yes another example of incompetent comms and pilots. Wrong techs, bad coordination, and a propensity to ho instead of do usefull things. Only lousy games go over 1.30h and this was one of them /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> GT had several chances to kill IC and IC should have killed GT long ago, IC screwed up tp2 drops early on and GT failed to kill the spare tech rocks of IC (wonder what seismics are for superstar?) All round typical pickup game: everyone for themselves until you get 40 per side so the odds are that 10 peeps listen to orders and grab a bomber for a tp2 drop /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
That is total bull@#(!, but of course, you are entitled to it Grim. Of course, it would be best to leave entire game to programmable bots, so we imperfect humans can just look from lobby. Maybe then you would be happy with the game quality. But I doubt it.
Anyways, you get the award for making anything good, however rare and precious, look bad. Well done!

I think:

talks about the same game.
From what I gather from the other thread, Grim is not too wrong about his statement. I don't doubt, that it was fun on the way to the final victory, but I guess the victory could have been achieved much earlier.
