Is everyone else stupid or is it just me? I keep hearing people say TF guns do more damage; yet Ice says PE gat1 and PW gat1 do the same damage per particle, yet PE gat1 has .11 second interval between shots compared to PW gat1's .1 interval. Does this not mean that PWgat1 does 10% more damage over time as it fires 10% faster? Or do people assume that the tf gat does more damage because you 'will hit more often' since it has 0 spread?

Also, PE mini and PW mini fire at the same rate with the same damage. As a faction perk, PE mini has 10% more range than 'normal' and is 100% accurate, but it seems to me it does the same damage. Am I wrong in assuming ICE is correct?

wtfxup?

edit - in actuality, the tf gat fires 10% slower; as opposed to what I said that the pw gat fires 10% faster. I also did take into account particle damage per shot in addition to bullets per shot(1), shot interval and damage classes, which are the same.

As far as I know TF don't get any sort of damage perk, even with their weapons...I also haven't ever heard anyone say TF does more damage than other faction.

But PE doesnt have any spread, so if u shoot straight at a stationary target, all ur PE shots will hit while some of ur PW shots may miss since PW does have a spread, that why i think people might say TF weapons do more damage

Only in a lab setting. I prefer PW Mini to PE mini, the fact is that about half the time I'm trying for fast deflection bursts while boosting, and I can hit pretty damn well with PW, but with the no spread of PE i can't hit @#(!.

However, on certain things, like miners, I'll take a PE Gat over a PW Gat. The PE gat means I can' circle a miner or con to evade the defense and be certain that each and every particle will go into the same spot as long as i adjust my aim, especially at long range.

Also in a high lag situation the PE guns are less good than the PW ones as spread is basically there to help compensate for lag. Only people near the server get the real benefit of TF guns.

well as ICE says, PE gat actually does LESS damage over time since it fires at an interval of .11, whereas PW gate fires at an interval of .1. You can make sure this is a negative thing by checking an extreme gase, the gauss gun, which has a fire interval of 2 (seconds).

So, in conclusion, everyone that says pe gat does more damage is a $#@!ing idiotard and should learn to get facts before opening their cake holes.

note that pe gat 2 has shot interval of .105
and pe gat 3 at .1 (which is same as all pw gatlings)

pe miniguns have same firing speed at all levels as their pw counterparts. (0.80 mk1, 0.78 mk2 and 0.82 mk3.. interesting...)

does global faction perks for pw and ew range affect projectile lifespan or speed?
