Just curious. And, I need to prove my thesis most players here come from this review where, incidentally, readers gave Allegiance an Average Rating of 9.71/10 [140 votes] at time of posting.

I for one found Allegiance through that review.

I saw someone playing it a LAN party on campus last spring, and asked one of my friends what the game was. So i immediately went back and downloaded it.

I don't actually remember reading that particular review, but I do know that I found it on underdogs. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Heard about the beta and loved the concept. Played it as soon as I could.

found it on underdogs.

I had been looking for a good space game for a while, tried a few and didn't really like what i found, especially the ones that were driven by a contrived story line. This sounded refreshingly plot-less.

I found it at my first and last lan party. Never went to another lan party because I always asked "Will they be playing alleg?", the answer was usually, "huh?" or "no", so I never went.

I'm another one for the Underdogs. I'd been eyeing the review for a while but declined to try it as I was stuck with my old 28.8 external modem. I downloaded Alleg the first day I got broadband and haven't looked back since.
