ok guys, I'm in a position where I can play ony FAZ and not regualr Alleg. (cuz of port restrictions). Nobody shows up on FAZ so I can't play at all, which sucks. Anyways,I was wondering when do you guys think that FAZ will become more regular, till its completely bug free? or till they can make it compatible with ASGS? I dunno, how long do you guys think until everything is sorted out?

Every Wednesday right now they are brute testing FAZ. So I would try and log on during the nighttime EST-PST.
As for a roll out date, rumor has it might even be as early as late october.
--edit--
jumped on to see what was up. You shouldn't join a side, get GC and then afk. Sit in noat.

More testing = earlier release date.
Also, asking for it is asking for the guarenteed response - Two Weeks ™

It's BETA! So don't blame everyone for playing on the regular (stable) lobby, because you're unable (not allowed) to configure your NAT. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

You could drop a thread in gameplay to try and organise a match between people who can only get in with the new Dplay code, and then advertise on wendsday if no one responds to it. I'm shure AFAIK that Some people would be able to find a time slot that works for enugh to game.

So far so good testing wise but I won't try to put a date on the release yet. We changed a few bigger things (some of them still pending) so we'll need to make sure this new build is stable.
-jumped compiler versions
-dplay8 network code
-dplay8 sound interface
-support for larger textures
By all means try to pull together other games or time slots that work in addition to Wed nights. We try and keep the beta server up and running most of the time.

Does this all have to be done in one go? Can't you for example push through the Dplay8 portions of coding that relate to connectivity? /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" />

Well the 1st two yes as they are now linked (as in we had problems with the new code and earlier compilers).
The 2nd two are done, have been for a while, and just need testing. If it becomes clear they are causing lots of problems and the problems cannot be quickly addressed they can be pushed off to the next update (that has already been done once for the sound changes).
