One move the real pilots did in ww11 with the p51 mustang. If someone was on there 6 and they couldn't shake them.
They would jam the stick back into there stomach as hard as they could, and kick left rudder at the same time. They would free fall for like 5 seconds. Then the rolls royce engine would start cutting thru the air and the enemy would be in front of them.

7.40 in to this. Although the FW190 went into a spiral dive and levelled out at the same alt...so probably not

I am really hating F4Fs when flying He-112-V-0's. They do not seem to lose speed on manoeuvring. I can handle f40's and P40's but goddam F4fs....they rolling...I hatin.
Any hints from the Guru's?

Ok, I just had a major realisation after consulting the WT forums.
Flying a joystick in AB and HB is like turning up to an orgy in a raincoat that you cant take off.
And this has been the source of my frustration in engaging opponents wondering as to why they dont have to fight the controls and have better aim.
It not that F4Fs are tough, or the Spitfires are OP....its just the effort of aiming and holding aim long enough to do decent damage and time required means Im always going to struggle. And pulling manoevers will result in more tip stalls that a mouse opponent.
Sure its setting me up for Realistic Battles (great...waiting 10 mins for a game), but on flying higher tiers using JS in HB's, my pain is going to get worse no doubt.
Oh and Cam...I do love the He112-B-0..the 20mm for point blank is beautiful, and am levelling up the Ki-43 at the moment (this one is fun for the vertical climb...but weak guns and paper frame mean you have to be very careful)
With everyone playing US or Russia, you get more games in.

Basically the reason I stopped playing. They never fixed the js controls and with everyone flying with a mouse, why would they? If you dont mind thats great but I didnt sign up for an arcade shooter where you "fly" with a $#@!ing mouse

I hear ya Brood. Are there any alternatives apart from going to IL-2?
Djole...yep...realistic is where I will start hanging out, but I think I will still continue struggling in RB with Tier 1 planes simply because it will improve me.
Problem is dude....Im playing Aus prime time...(8pm to 10pm) so chances of us meeting are pretty slim.
My son played some games yesterday on FRB and owned them all. Now I know why
