Redavian, with HC2, IC 20% extra energy is much more helpfull than Bios 1.15 sig divider.

As for how to use HC, no one mentionned the best way to use HC, but I'm keeping it for myself /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
just a hint: you don't even need to switch from sig3 to HC...(Still bring sig3 as a backup, cause you never know when you might need it).

Much better to switch as you have speed, starting from behind a rock with hvy cloak is annoying. You cloak too soon you run out of energy, you don't cloak soon enough you get eyed.

If the rock is close(there's one close enough 80% of the time), it's better to use it.

I'd choose the sig3+ HC at 3k over no cloak + rock 2.5k away. But if you have a rock that is 1.5k-2k from the base( Or a juicy 1.3k from the green door as I've seen in a bios Htt /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ), I'd choose the rock.

Imo, if you're gonna go with cloak switching, it could be much better to use a rock, cloak a bit early with sig 3( 2 or 3 seconds too early won't hurt you too much with sig3 and you could even use a small evasive angle in order to keep your speed) and switch once you get eyes. You'd get spotted for a split second about 1.7k from the base, but with HC, unless there's a scout in your direction, it should still be hard to spot you.
Doing that would give you extra energy and less time to the enemy to switch on your side.

I like my stunt HCing, makes the defenders go "KILL THE SB WTF !? OH THERE! @#(!!"

I don't. Getting eyed brings out more defenders and points the ones already out in your direction. Much better to go uneyed. Also depends on your accel vly, belts wouldn't be a good choice for a cold start.

The ideal situation for sbs is similar to the ideal situation for htt, though you have a little more flexibility. Find a rock 2k from the base in an otherwise empty sector. Approach in the shadow of the rock, leaving cloak off (be aware of the rock's shape and spin. Spherical rocks are safest). Fire up your hvy cloak just as you're about to swing around the rock. You have forward momentum and a full battery for your heavy cloak. You can probably unload 2 racks before your cloak runs out. Just be sure to cut your engine as you get closer to the base, to prevent your proximity rendering hvy cloak useless.

Of course, this is the ideal situation. Heavy sector activity or unfortunate placement of rocks, probes or secondary bases (like refs/teles) can totally kill your buzz.
