Greetings!

Had a bout of gamer fatigue which caused me to start looking outside of my usual hunting grounds (i.e. Steam) for some fresh gaming, and stumbled upon Allegiance!

Working my way through the various reading materials, hope to join you guys soon.

Reading material helps, but don't hesitate to join a game. You'll start with a (0) behind your name so people won't demand much from you.

Welcome

Adept Lies! They will demand stuff!

1. That you never be in base.
2. That you are always in a scout, and that you always have a NAN.
3. That you probe the entire map to hell and back (Because the vets are too good for that)
4. That you don't make sarcastic responses to what people tell you to do.

Still, can't wait to see you in space!

Ahoy! I "enjoyed" a game earlier (IIRC spideycw was there to welcome me). Very ... interesting times. As in the Chinese curse ;)

Somehow I got a kill within 10 seconds, although I think that might have had something to do with whoever I shot at only needing one hit from my pathetic scout to die. Poor bugger. After that, I faffed around a bit, first of all being killed by people who could actually control their ships, and then by blasting some defenceless AWS drones in places they were likely unneeded. We lost horribly.

Fortunately, I was made very welcome in chat, with my nub questions answered between games (not that I played more than the 1) and even during (I wasn't spamming too much, I think - but (re)reading the wiki in light of my experiences so far).

Anyway, as a rugby player I'm very much aware of the importance of team play, and although the "learning curve" to be good at everything here may be insurmountable for me in my old age, I do hope to at least not be utterly useless ;)

Welcome!

Don't put age down as an issue. Sure, we may not have the eyesight and twitch reflexes of the young, but we're sneakier and meaner. :D

Thank you for the welcome, but... loose lips sink ships! Let them believe....

Welcome

I could never keep up with rugby at school - I'm far too skinny.

If you want help with the learning curve - check out the funky allegiance Training thing in my sig (when I say join - I mean click on it really).

Join the Allegiance Flight School for all your basic training needs!

Edit:
Hockey was more my game cos you could do more damage with a hockey stick.....
