Now your computer will explode.
Yeah, he was one of two active member of the current helpline team (beauty, inactive since March; Grimm, inactive since January; Immz, inactive since June; ogorass, inactive since mid July), perfect example how it should work.Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Aug 22 2010, 08:17 PM) A perfect example is FreeBeer taking over the helpline. The only interaction I had was saying "Just make sure he knows that once he goes ZL it's tough to go back to playing for fun. Everyone will look at him differently and will hate him just because they can. if he's still fine with it, then so be it"
Let me quote:Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Aug 22 2010, 08:17 PM) It seems this is a common misconception about the structure here which is driving a lot of the emotions. Bard tried to clear it up earlier in this thread.
The ZLs are in charge of the community.
I am in charge of some computers.
Wait, how can someone nominate himself for ZL, if ZLs discuss this behind closed doors?!Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Aug 22 2010, 08:17 PM) We were all really grasping at straws to find a replacement until Bard threw his name into the pool.
AWESOME!fuzzylunkin1 wrote:QUOTE (fuzzylunkin1 @ Aug 22 2010, 07:30 PM) I have donated $25 to a charity of Imago's choice.
By sending a PM. The whole community knew there was no Dev ZL. Bard simply sent a PM saying, "Since nothing is happening, I'll throw my name in". TE (IIRC) told the ZLs that Bard would be interested. The rest is history.pkk wrote:QUOTE (pkk @ Aug 22 2010, 02:44 PM) Wait, how can someone nominate himself for ZL, if ZLs discuss this behind closed doors?!
Sounds like these doors open for some chosen people (some kind of inner circle) and closed for all others?!![]()
Of course there is one:TheBored wrote:QUOTE (TheBored @ Aug 22 2010, 09:44 PM) There is no "inner circle" of people outside of the ZLs that can view the ZL forum.
Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Aug 22 2010, 11:20 AM) Okay okay okay everyone who's still reading this, let's all remember one thing:
we're on the same side.
We all love Allegiance, and we all want the best things for it. I realize that some people are driving this "us vs them" mentality in these topics, and frankly that is the root cause of all of this unnecessary drama because WE ARE YOU and you are us.
Who is fostering the us vs. them mentality again?Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Dec 4 2009, 08:27 PM) if you prefer, we can end the audit and return back to our regularly scheduled roles of administrator and community member![]()
--TE
I think that's a pretty common thing. If you ask a ZL, they will say they are the ultimate authority in their "zone", but in reality, they check with TE before they scratch their butt. Anyone who says otherwise is just using wishful thinking.pkk wrote:QUOTE (pkk @ Aug 22 2010, 01:44 PM) For me it looks like Bard (a ZL) thinks, you are the highest authority.![]()
I can't even begin to fathom how you can consider this a good thing.madpeople wrote:QUOTE (madpeople @ Aug 22 2010, 02:17 PM) AWESOME!
So Allegiance is going to get a bug fixed AND $25 has gone to improve the life of a dying child.
THREAD SUCCESS!
*applauds fuzzy*
*laughs at those who said this thread has no value*
