If you're team is low on money and can't affoard HTT (or their research) you would be suprised how effective the combination 3 EMP Int + 7 TT can be...
Keep in mind, 1$ is a ridicolous price... it's so low it doesn't matter at all, not even if you buy 100 TTs...
But true, HTT is way more useful in most situations.

aleph res doesnt work on small ships... they have 15 (according to wiki, which is often wrong) seconds, and a big red bold warning before it goes off, which is plenty of time for anything to get some serious distance away from the aleph. You dont even have to get 1000m away from the aleph due to the splash penelity. If your 900m away, itll only do 500 dmg. (assuming a linear splash penality... which while easy to program, doesnt make much sence... i have a feelng its not linear, but i havent tested it)... so, even if you are facing the aleph and 50 m away from it. (which is, insanely close), an intercepter that is out of fuel... and i just got in one, and tested, will be able to get out of "dead" range in time.... (with fuel, I was able to begin out of range, begin boosting boost through the aleph, and hit the astroid which was 1300m away from the aleph before my 15 seconds were up.) a fuelless intercepter has a 15 power to weight ratio... a gunship has 20... and a higher max speed. Aleph res cant kill large ships, and they cant kill small ones either.

how was saying explicitly how aleph res doesnt work trolling?

the forums ate a post I had, right after the "pbhead your stupid" post, that mentioned that it took me over an hour of wiki reading, ingame expermentation, and "thought" before I posted about the aleph res not working against small ships.

and it ended with a question: (cause i dont remember all the middle bits... but it talked about how impossible it was to learn due to an out of date wiki, and people that post useless single line posts that say nothing.. so maybe someone could prove me wrong again and be helpfull)... what are the requirments for lxy patrollers? I know they exist, but the wiki, nor the show all button in the tech tree show exactly how to get them.

they're both trying.

I can't imagine why "most" is italicized. Name one situation in which you would want TTs and EMP ints rather than an HTT.

Because i wanted to clarify that HTTs are NOT ALWAYS more useful...

See,if you're out of cash, but need to get an op down/capped urgent, you can just take a TT (or better, multiple ones) which are way cheaper and only have the disadvantage of reduced hull and no EMP missiles.
The hull disadvantage can be outweigth by just sending MASSES of TT (5++) and the EMP missile needs to be replaced by ships being able to take down a stations shield. F.e. EMP Ints.

As i stated, too, HTT are usually more useful... but as long as there is the possibility of them being NOT as useful as a coordinated team with TTs, i will stick to most.

There is a reason why we provide CDT and AFS pilots with a safe forum to post this kind of thing.

If you are out of cash with HTTs, you wait for a payday or two.

In five years of Alleg, I have seen/participated in TT caps.... oh... three times (one in a SG). Guess how many HTT runs I have participated in...
