Hm okay... here we are at it again...i would like to open with a big, nice image, but being a complete tard when it comes to html

i can't...
So what is this all about?
In a few words, it's another model. Yes it works, yes it's tested, no you can't use it in your normal games cause the hitbox is a bit wider and shorter than the one it's supposed to replace.. sorry, still i am proud to say it's come out nicely... have a look...

yes, it's a scout... looks mean? well it should ^^
now without further ado, here's some orthogonal projections... for all those of you who like this kind of material...

Ok, that said... those pics weren't really all that good... i know i suck at taking screenshots. So i am going to add a few more shots taken in perspective that show some details you maybe will never see, because they're small or located in hard to see places (like the inner core, behind the encumbering guns), or are too small to notice unless you're REALLY close, and in alleg being too close isn't really all that good a choice ^^

oh about last pic... look at it closely, focus your attention on the center of the pic, slighlty on the upper side, just under the frost... what do you see? It's a little effect i got mirroring the map... it's cool, if you can see it that is (lol@adept)
more on this...

a particular of the reactor sticker i've drawn on the ice core... i think it came out rather well
I am particularly proud of the skin of the outer shell... in the beginning it was so full of visible pixels i was about to trash it all and call it quits... in the end persevering helped...
to end the little?!? and useless (!!!) parade, i'll be adding some pics taken in game earlier today...

Besides, don't take those ship stats into account, it's what you get if you research every GA there is... you know, testing alone can be VERY boring...
and a little flair to finish...

And that's all... oh yes i forgot...
the usual download for those of you who like testing things out themselves... or just mod their alleg (still it's useless or basically disadvantaging to use it on fao servers... the hitbox's different from what you'll be shooting at -shrug-)
the magic link "YOU CAN GET IT HERE" button, except that i can't handle html buttons:

sellf extracting, virus free blah blah blah, remember to backup your files blah blah blah, you know the drill.
Some useful info for all of you who are more interested than the casual reader:
1-i used the standard TF scout model as a term of comparison to scale the model so that the two models "apparent mass" would be approximately the same: the new model is shorter (back to tip) but a tad wider than the old one, height is exactly the same (i did superimpose the models to be sure).
2- the hitbox, if simple, is pretty tight fitting, a half hour testing resulted in no more than 1.5 pixels distance from the actual shape at about 20-25 m distance in game... except for the space between the guns and the inner fuselage... but frankly i highly doubt you'll be aiming there anytime soon, and it's pretty small a space too.
3- i added some fancy strobes, you may have noticed, what is interesting about it is that the model is actually an almost completely symmetrical mesh, which also means the model has no clear up, down left or right side, so if people would rather fly it vertically, i can later rotate the model with no particular trouble (vertical gun mounts O_O) however....
Well, I am more or less done, there's nothing big to add about it, i hope you all like it (unlikely) and that some of you may actually trust me enough to try it out (slighly more likely).
And that's all for today, i hope you had fun, meet you in space.
P.S. a few interesting small pics to laugh about the developing phase of this model
an earlier attempt at finding a good texture sample... resulted in a good experiment for a sci-fi McDonald

the initial inspirational idea for the model... i almost built it like a crystal ship... funky imho
