I say force them to nan miners

I've observed many newbs that jump into a scout and although the comm directs them to find alephs,they don't drop any probes and end up deep in enemy territory podded because they were so anxious to dogfight.
This is tongue in cheek as I really don't think it's all that important. Newbs take 4 or 5 games before they notice the chat,much less learn to scroll it. So yea, they would just repair the bad guys.
So yea..to me the most important things are events. They get players and most of all they get even comms, usually.

I read that entire post and most of the comments and only have a slightly better idea of what's going on there than before I read it. Something about using smaller arcade maps in realistic modes?

Yea, there are different play modes. Arcade is fast and limited to like...20 mins.
Realistic is way longer and for experienced players. Smaller community,but WAY loyal in the past.
Now they are getting arcade maps which is stupid for RB and they don't get as many points as they used to.
Also,in the last patch they fixed a bug in the mouse control from the previous patch.
The new arcade map have WAY too much cloud cover and end up being cluster F DM.
DM works fine in Alleg, but in fighter battle it turns into a crash fest.
