Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Apr 19 2013, 12:50 PM) a lot of good it's done us. we're the only country that has used nuclear weapons, we have an infinite amount of money dumped into the military, and we're in a perpetual state of war on one thing or another.
Nobody has more credibility than the USA does when it comes to committing to war and man-hunts and @#(!, yet we're supposedly under constant attack, anyway.
the only thing we're accomplishing is losing our freedoms one after another. we are no safer due to the government's heavy hand. quite the contrary.
Thats all well and good, but how exactly would the country respond when people found out we weren't going through every means possible to catch the guys?

he is a heavily armed terrorist who has shot two cops, blew up more than a hundred people at the boston marathon, and who could well be wanting to go out as a suicide bomber

kind of hard to overreact to him, unless they start levelling parts of boston from orbit in an effort to kill him that way

so what ta said wins

ps: agri would be levelling boston from orbit, ofc

the point is the goal should be to prevent these types of things from happening in the first place (not by invasion of privacy, but by actually dealing with the underlying issues causing these incidents) instead of dealing with it after-the-fact
but that's the American way. nothing is preventative. and if you have a problem, there's a pill for that.

Yes you can. You can fix it and in most cases you can prevent it.
Neither are being done.

So let there be death.

Most cases of legitimate "crazy" are caused by over prescription of psychoactive drugs.
oh you're depressed? I'm not going to help you determine why you're depressed, or how to change your life so you're not depressed anymore, but here, take these mind altering drugs
side effects may include suicidal thoughts
if you start thinking about lighting your shoes on fire, please, contact your doctor

couple that with the stress of a failing economy and an overbearing government
and maybe a little twist of religious-based or race war

people go "crazy" when they're poor.
everything is an economic issue.

i) none of those terrorists shot cops
ii) the FBI knew who carried out that attack early on
