Of course, if any individual or group is deliberately disrupting this community there will be repercussions.

Oh yes? Excuse me as I continue to force IB to post at gun point.

I thought you keep the tech no matter what, but you just need to upgrade the base to the point at which it's buyable for it to become available to the whole team. (Excluding belters, and bios already got adv bases)

Was the argument in the log over keeping the tech, or being able to use it after docking it?

Oh. My. GOD pepople.

If you have an EXP and you pick up mini3 EVERYONE can use it. EVERYONE ON THE TEAM. If you have a sup and dock GAT3 or DF3 EVERY SHIP THAT CAN MOUNT THAT THING CAN THEN MOUNT IT!

It doesn't matter if that sup is advanced, normal or on the $#@!ING MOON IF YOU GET TECH IN THAT TECH TREE YOU CAN USE IT.

Sups can't build on the Moon because the Moon isn't carbonaceous, it's iron and oxygen. :ninja:

I didn't make up the thing about vets giving wrong info, Spidey, it's on the wiki - in the Enforcement FAQ, in fact, under the (now-outdated) section on newbie servers which says that vets generally aren't allowed to even sit in the lobby of newbie games because "Too many previous vets have spoiled it by giving wrong information on purpose to spoil the game play for new players". If that's wrong info, then feel free to edit the important FAQ page that's linked from the main page of the wiki that I got that tidbit from.

Besides, how is anyone supposed to comment on a part of the logs that wasn't posted? If you want to talk about somebody constantly insisting on things that are wrong despite being credibly corrected, then post logs showing that, instead of posting logs showing you guys deliberately confusing someone who misinterpreted the tech stealing rules. Why bother going to the trouble of finding and posting an excerpt from your logs, only to post something that doesn't support your point at all, when there's another portion that better illustrates it? If the "best part" is two vets making fun of someone instead of correcting him, then I'd hate to see how bad the rest of it was.

I apologize for reading the thread and then posting based on what I read in the thread, rather than using my psychic powers to magically observe that Bass continued to insist that he was right even after everybody stopped laughing enough to tell Bass they were just joking and started actually correcting him? Because, it seems really unlikely to me that anyone there who didn't correct him at the start would've ever gotten to the "stop laughing" part, let alone "correcting him", but I guess my outlook on that will change after a few more months. I'll admit I'm too new to realize that the statement "bass knows what hes talking about" was sarcastic, but obviously Bass couldn't recognize it either, meaning it's not exactly a correction. My conclusion would've been the same if Bass had been insisting that the sky is brown.
