I don't care what 'normal' ping is. When a ship is in front of you and then teleports THROUGH you, to be directly BEHIND you.. it's laggy.

We wanted to play on planet, but we had no choice of servers as the only server with that particular core that particular day was GPZ.

When I first got here I was using my cell as my internet connection... long story another day. With lag about 200-300 at peak cell traffic I couldnt even turret effectively. Trust me your ship bouncing around on me is just as much of a bitch to hit. Matter of fact due to the lag it was a regular thing for me to not get my kb kills. Id see the message but not get the kb bump. That was discouraging to say the least. My lag now is US normal to good btw. If this is a reason to stir things up for the next squad game... meh let's just play the damn thing and stop with the sun was in my eyes, and the refs sucked bit since sooner or later every squad loses.

Actually turreting is the worst thing you can do when you have high lag. Not only is your aim thrown off by the enemy lagging about (from your POV) but also the ship you're in may seem to lag about too thus multiplying the effect. Not such an issue in a bomber but if you're turreting a heavy scout try and pick a pilot with low lag to turret to keep the effect to a minimum.

And my assertion was that such playing conditions are the norm for users the world over. The more XT bangs on about this, the more I'm in agreement with Immz. Just deal with it and stop complaining.

I've recently been hit hard by lag on planet. The issues I'm experiencing are due to dodgy routing between Europe and the server, and are completely beyond the control of Aarm, or anyone other then Level3. Rather than complain at every verse end, although I've mentioned in in frustration more than a couple of times, I've switched to roles that are less sensitive to lag, such as bombing and HTTing. It's not difficult to adapt to the circumstances, and the game is still fun. Read, mark, learn and inwardly digest.
