Abducted by aliens, exposed to the game for hours, and brainwashed. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

it was underdogs for me all the way. I've been a fan of that site for years now. My wife hates it cuz every time I'm on the computer I'm over there downloading a handful of games to try. I'm glad I found this one though. I think she realizes its gonna be a time stealer for me.

Oh well I did originally first learn about the game through Beta, since at the time I was a zoneite that played Age of Empires and was intrigued when I saw this turn up in the Premium games. Actually one of my fondest gaming moments was from that Beta when we were trying to bomb their Garr when they had Heavy Ints and repeated attempts resulted in a mauling. Me being a nub I jumped into a vanilla Troop Transport. I headed at their gar along with the bomber, it got destroyed... but not without unleashing a few ABs which dropped the shields of the Gar and I managed to cap it with a slithering of health. Gosh!

I didn't play when it went P2P, but the game always gave me fond memories. So there I was cruising on mpogd.com one fateful day and I saw it and cried out in glee!

As for Home of the Underdogs, funny you should mention it. I was just at the HOTU forums trying to pimp Allegiance again. One forumite replied saying he played the training missions and would have loved to play this game online, but with his setup the port issues were insurmountable. Of course I quickly let it be known that the port issues are gone, but I hate to think of the number of players that looked to Allegiance once, found problems with the ports, and will never come back again because they didn't know they were fixed.

Oh. I tried to get the game listed on www.onrpg.com (which also lists a variety of online FPS games and the like) though my email was ignored it seems. Allegiance is so hard to pimp and I don't know why.
If we are all sheep then why on earth should we trust our Shepherd? He'll protect us alright, just so he can fatten us up and then send us to the butcher for a pretty penny.

I was on a GalCiv2 forum reading in a thread about FreeLancer and someone was talking about Allegiance. I checked out the FreeAllegiance site and I saw "Allegiance is anything but an easy game to learn". I was hooked at that moment.

Ah... GalCiv2... If we could implement their AI on our drone ships, we'll have miners that pwn better than Weedman or Masauu!
