Well, now that my introduction is out of the way, where do you think I should head to get my posting started? Like, where are the social threads, and what are some of the local mores and taboos? I'd hate to offend people so soon after joining up.

Taboo = Liking me

Moore = Hating me

Have fun.

Sounds like you are learning and reading stuff really quick which is awesome and also I am sure you'll fit in just fine. :) Don't worry too much, just don't get involved in the drama that occasionally flares up on this forum (which you don't seem to be the kind of person to do anyway), and you'll be okay. ^_^ Hating Malicious Wraith is entirely optional, though popular. :lol: (I for one :iluv: him... though then again, I'm probably not the best example at all. :P )

P.S. TVTropes! Yay! :D

Capsule - I've seen your application for AFS, and will add you later (at lunchtime as I'm at work)

Basically - you will know you are on the Flight School course when you can access this forum.

Edit: Added a bit more text

Wow, the game's a lot more fun the second time you play. I finally found something I can do semi-competently. I can gather free-floating tech and money. I found Retro Boosters and Booster 2 in the same game (at the same time), and then I found the level 2 versions of both Seeker and Quickfire missiles. It's not much of a skill, but I keep reading about how superior tech (and probing, which I'm also not bad at) wins games. I've also learned most of the terminology and in-game shorthand, and I can almost fly my ship decently. Plus I think I ranked up, which is another good thing!

Oh, and I blew up an enemy probe! I have a kill under my belt almost!

PS: I'm starting to get a little fond of Bios, those pods of theirs make the game a lot more fun and a lot less floating around in my pod. Also, cloaking on mah scout makes me smile (no getting ganked while I probe once I've mastered the timing of when to activate it).

Oh ya, you flew for me that game. Well done.

In case you did not know, I am Federalman.

Cool, I got praise! I think it's best to relish the little successes rather than lament the massive failures. Besides, I'm gettin' real familiar with each faction's pod ;) . Basically, I'm the equivalent of an intern for the moment. I can't be counted on for anything important, but I'm good at fetching stuff for you. Also, probe-laying, but I wasn't sure how to fit it into the metaphor.

PS: The twelve seconds I flew in that Heavy Scout at the end of that last game were great, I'd never felt so powerful, with a whole 12 probes at my disposal (and I was extra-happy, since they were level 2 probes, courtesy of my tech salvaging).

Try not to get so involved in the Pod-porn hidden under the seats that you miss a friendly ship trying to pick you up :P

You now have access to the AFS forum and our tag.

When you get heavy scouts, especially if you are bios, bug your commander for Probe3. You can fit twice as many per slot (4 per slot in a heavy scout.)

New player from Sweden. Since Im (of course) very new to this game I will try to catch up via Wiki and perhaps also partake in AFS. In the meantime I will try to riddle you with bullets and dazzle you with style ;)
