hey kgjv- i'd totally be willing to help with testing or any non technical aspects of ANY game you make. Unfortunately my coding experience is a C++ class in high school, so probably not too much help there. But I support your effort and if I can help in someway let me know!

QUOTE Then I looked at most successful online games and realized that most of them are based on successful single player games.[/quote]
I've to laugh here.
WoW - Super expensive but popular
LoL - free too
Cs1.6 - almost free
Those are the MOST successful online games
they do NOT have a single player campaign.
Giving allegiance a singleplayer campaign wont fcking revive it or make players stick here.

FWIW, I constantly try to fight the "TE is in charge" mentality here on the forums too.
When I was given the keys, I was very active and was leading the community for about a year or two. I labelled myself the "Community Administrator" and effected change to push the leadership responsibilities onto a group of people instead of a single man. Once this was set up I quietly changed my title to "Systems Administrator" and redirected requests to the ZLs in an effort to transition the 'authority.' Unfortunately, being the dude who pays the bills seems to make the "In Charge" image difficult to shake
The fact is I simply don't have enough time to lead this community.
I'll lead my server and donate my cash but time is the most precious resource I own, and unfortunately I can't give enough of it to Allegiance to be their "leader." You hit the nail on the head.
if I won the lottery and could scale back my professional life, I'd have more time to do the things I love. Maybe I'd have more time to once again 'lead' Allegiance, but until that happens, it's just a thought exercise.

I also got over my hatred and PM'ed KGJV an offer to help, but of course no response.
Maybe I should have written in French.

I was going to write that te would agree about the leadership thing but he beat me to it. I think that the zl idea is a good one but many people here maintain the mindset that pook or someone is "in charge". For whatever reason it hasn't worked out as well as it could have.
As far as single player alleg goes, I'd be a big fan assuming you capture the best parts of the game and atmosphere. I can't promise a lot of time right now our any technical expertise but if you need anyone to build missions down the line then get in touch.

Each ZL does focus on his own Zone, that works fine, but there is no aspire for a larger goal or a vision.

Guys. I want to proclaim myself the first CEO of Allegiance. I want third quarter profits on my desk by this afternoon and I want a 10 step action plan for the next quarter as far as sales.
Seriously? CEO? Waiting for a leader? These concepts are total ridiculous in game with a history such as allegiance. It required MANY people to get to where we are today, not one person. There was never one person who ran the show.
If you want to make your single player video game, do it. We certainly have quite a few non-microsoft art assets around at this point. This is absolutely ridiculous.
