XRM Cruise and Heavy Cloacked Missile Frigate in an uneyed run. :iluv:

Has anyone?
two or three times (compared to ~50 times fbs.)

It worked good in one game vs bios where they had nothing but an exp and both teams had mini3+pps. An op was pushed the exp in ~6k range early. 2 hours later IC(?) won against a medium stack (after many dead garrs, tps, ops, (figther-)bombers) with xrm2.

I think moving xrm 1 tobasic sup would make it more different from fbs. (and much cheaper for exp teams).

If that was true, EoR would have been the most popular core around because it was COMPLETELY different than everything else out there.

Lots of people want phoenix because it was different and CHEESY.

Lots of people didn't like EoR because it was different and HARDER (except for some of the ints, which were ungodly powerful).

I didn't like EoR mostly because of the insanely fast tactical scouts and the the incredibly slow caps.

Tac scouts were MARVELOUS against bomb runs. Once you saw "Bomber sighted" several sectors away it was only a matter of seconds to boost across several sectors and eye the thing. Sure, you were basically a goner unless you had enough to boost back out of turret range, but tacscouts were the bane of exp bombing.

Are you really saying that after playing yourself IC on the XT vs SysX game?

I believe tac scouts were nerfed in later builds but I wasn't the only one turned off of EoR by them. I could accept the different physics model, and Deng did a lot to bring people on board for EoR with his patient conversion courses for EoR newbies.

Scouts that instantly accelerated to 2000 mps or whatever it was would never be made to fit IMHO (I wasn't the only one who thought this. I had plenty of discussions with people who felt the same way).

Oh, yeah, I agree - they completely didn't fit. They *were* however a fun toy.

XRM 1 is basic sup.
