You can make maps for 2 teams to 6 teams. Just set up more home sectors with a garrison for each team.

Guess I wasn't clear in my answer.
3/4 teams, you can't make it load a different map, but you can make maps for each number of teams.

What are in the home sectors? Cons and miners will only launch from the first garr you give a team.

top and left are the home sectors (i think), and all team owned sectors have a garrison

Wonderful to see all the map development going on.. Ahh I remember the days when AME first came out..
Here's a reminder of some basic pointers :
Try and make the distance from home sector to home sector "measured" in other words, make the shorter path alephs further apart in space, so that the amount of flying you have to do is about the same.
Be careful of using "novel" tricks.. theyre usually not used for a good reason

make a good solid normal map before you start trying to tweak things
If you add lots of 'roids to a sector, lower their sig so you dont crash clients as they enter a sector.. See spiderweb for an example (If I remember right its called Alteraan)
Check your layouts.. just because it doesnt LOOK the same on the display doesnt mean it isnt identical to another map.. original maps are hard to do.. and most of the symetric designs are done already.. so double check..
Don't cross the streams (sector connectors) it looks ugly and can be confusing
Don't put a sector on a sector connector line, its misleading..
