Magilla's a nice guy who was making serious attempts to learn this game.

If this is the last we see of him it will be a definite shame IMO.

Perhaps we should modify the training materials more to talk of Boots as being more regular?

I dunno, pretty much the biggest cause of newbs leaving the game is them flipping their @#(! and Quitting Forever over minor things like "the game taking five minutes to start, at 3am, right after a 2 hour game just ended" or "not getting to fly a bomber". I haven't flown with Magilla, but he seemed a bit too uptight even before anyone got around to antagonizing him, which makes me wonder how long he would have lasted anyway. Even if he did somehow manage to stick around, he would've ended up like Adept, a fate I wouldn't wish on anyone. So it's for the best, really.

You need to work on the trolling a bit ;)

Anyway, it seems he has figured out how to use a hider and join the other team. No harm done, I think.

he's been around a few weeks - posting useful stuff in AFS, asking useful questions and turning out for training.

Here's the thing - I think we should start learning from when people leave, as we can't keep losing players.

Magilla feels aggrieved as he has boot protection (he is rank 4), and in truth I agree with him. What he was booted for is not a bootable offence if you are under newbie protection.

It should be added to the list.

EDIT:
Perhaps not, but it seems to me he's at the point where he doesn't need boot protection. A rank is just a $#@!ing number. Now I remember why we had that automatic rank increase to 5.

jimen says funny @#(! like that pretty regularly, he just needs to work on increasing his funny to annoying ratio. A nice warm cup of STFU would do wonders me thinks.

lol zombies... leads to zombie porn: "i want to eat your brains.... and your ass" lol
magilla man, dont worry bout the boot it happens, you got booted towards the end of the game, it not like you launched a scout at the beginning and got booted for going low when the comm wanted high but you got the message as you were already low lol (which happened to me)
all you can do is go get your hider and get back on and keep playing and remember what got you booted, learn from it and move on
i was pissed the 1st time it happened to me but you just gotta know it happens and it may seem like a dumb reason to you (note my boot) butyou just gotta move on man and keep playin

"The spirit of the rule is - don't boot them because they don't know something. Boot them because they're trying to be a dick or they're jeopardizing a team and ignoring warnings for a reasonable amount of time." Wiki

If things have changed, please let us know.

string, TBH, it was a borderline questionable boot, even when i did it, but eating SR energy to rip his basic scout around the map...
