I don't think it would be practical to hope for that sort of situation. Obviously you should be nanning the miner instead.

Also for shooting fleeing people in the back (vectors & speeds have to be agreeable to do this of course), and lobbing at people who are momentarily still (turning in a dogfight with somebody else) or stuck in prox. Dumbfires in a dogfight are just too much fun not to use... and like Drizzo and others have said, in most situations that really count, you want to have dumbs (opportunistic hits vs. drones / bombers mostly).Drizzo wrote:QUOTE (Drizzo @ Dec 22 2009, 08:45 AM) DFs are for unsuspecting victims, unskilled players, and pretty much @#(! that doesn't strafe.
Waitaminute, I think he maestro is wrong here.Drizzo wrote:QUOTE (Drizzo @ Dec 22 2009, 08:45 AM) By the time a seeker loads and locks, the enemy chaff will be up, giving it a consistent 58% to spoof a seeker.
You obviously didn't read my post, did you?fuzzylunkin1 wrote:QUOTE (fuzzylunkin1 @ Dec 22 2009, 04:11 PM) I don't think it would be practical to hope for that sort of situation. Obviously you should be nanning the miner instead.
What drizz means is that for every seeker you launch the enemy can launch a CM, so he can spoof all the missiles. With qf the enemy can only drop 1 chaff every 3 missiles or so, so there are 2 missiles that he cant spoof.Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Dec 22 2009, 04:31 PM) I'm 99% sure that a CM only does it's spoof "pulse" when it's launched. It has no continuing effect on missiles launched after that.
He's correct; you misread. Although I don't have the formula for calculating spoof percentages so I can't say if that is correct.Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Dec 23 2009, 02:31 AM) Waitaminute, I think he maestro is wrong here.

I sure did the first time, but your post still makes no sense, you always need someone to shoot the enemy.fuzzylunkin1 wrote:QUOTE (fuzzylunkin1 @ Dec 22 2009, 04:46 PM) Get it?
Oh, he means there is always time to ready another CM?Koln wrote:QUOTE (Koln @ Dec 22 2009, 05:40 PM) What drizz means is that for every seeker you launch the enemy can launch a CM, so he can spoof all the missiles. Yes. He also mentions that people who fire 3 QFs right away are idiots because when the int pilots drops a CM it will cause all 3 to be spoofed unless they're unlucky.Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Dec 22 2009, 04:25 PM) Oh, he means there is always time to ready another CM?
Right. Language barrier then.
