Peon, more paragraphs. As to what, well, if you don't know I can't help you.

Been there, done that many many times in many combinations. You're better maintaining the assault against the miner than nanning the int or fig with you (trying to nan another scout against incoming miner D is silly). Typically people rush at the ones attacking the miner in an offensive manner (ints, figs) and try to blast away the defenders. The scout would have to break out the nan well before the defenders show up to have time to use it, and it only takes a moment of nanning for the defenders to realize what you're doing, and then pop the scout is dead, and pop the int is dead. But 2 extra dumbfires, or that extra few seconds of gat fire... that's what makes the difference in killing that miner. One of the reasons I STOPPED taking a nan with me when rushing miners was because I learned through experience the best chance a solo scout or an early game miner hunting pair has is when they dish out as much damage as fast as possible.jgbaxter wrote:QUOTE (jgbaxter @ Mar 2 2007, 02:32 PM) I think that if you had a nan instead of 2 df missiles, you could nan someone with you.
I actually have had succes loading MRM's as my first salvo on miner kills. It allows me to fire at a longer range and hit the miner, but I am still trying to judge the effacacy of this tactic. Using DFs, you really have to wait until you are exactly lined up on the miner to guarantee a hit - the MRM tracks a bit better and can cause damage while you get lined up.Raziel wrote:QUOTE (Raziel @ Mar 3 2007, 03:11 AM) Been there, done that many many times in many combinations. Yes, but we're talking about in actual games against real people who defend their miners here, not games where you can just sit there and ram the miner through prox over and over and tickle it with your gat until it's dead.jgbaxter wrote:QUOTE (jgbaxter @ Mar 4 2007, 02:37 AM) Well I look at it this way, I can kill miners with a nan in my scout load out, and if I need to nan I can do that as well.
That is pretty good. You can routinely solo a miner in a squad game aat the beginning with you basic DF1 and Gat1 loadout? With a bay taken by a nan? What is your load out to do this and what is your trick?jgbaxter wrote:QUOTE (jgbaxter @ Mar 3 2007, 06:10 PM) Umm, so am I. Killing a miner in a squad game with a nan in cargo I've done many a time. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
