Joy Stick vs Mouse and Key Pad

I currently have a Nostromo n52 and a logitech Mx510 gaming mouse and Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless JoyStick.
All three have the ability to re-key/re-map and macro however I choose to key them.

I am a big on-line gamer but have been mostly into the FPS games... LW, BHD, JO, JO:E, BF2 and a few others... not much flight sim games so my flying has been limited to the Helicopters in JO and JO:E... Nostromo and mouse work great for them.
BF2 on the other hand
The JoyStick works much better for flying helicopters and Jet Aircraft and Mouse keypad are very difficult (for me anyway)

I have not been able to get my Joy Stick to even work in Allegiance so I could try it...
Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless
Capable of re-keying all the buttons like the n52 and the Mx510

Reading through the posts it seems that it is a matter of individual taste and likes... some like the JoyStick and others prefer the Mouse KeyPad combo...
One even prefers their own G control... /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doh:" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

The nostromo is like using the left side of your keyboard, but with some joystick qualities like the D pad for thrusting, throttle control, and mostly ergodynamics. Its really comfortable to use and you can create macros on it like Unload shields and missiles then cloak.

One uses an xbox controller.

I use a trackball with 5 buttons. It's very precise when I'm sober.

Plus I use the chat a lot and a joystick slows me down, read the chat. `yy

Nothing beats direct neural interface, or so it said on the box, Thriced cursed -ING thing gives me a headache, and it's glitchy as all. Cant doubt the speed though, although I'm wishing it was a little less sensitive.
