jgBaxter: yes, the ad space is sold at a flat rate. The Advertise page on the site is rather clear on this point.

But! If I wasn't this lazy I would point you to your post somwhere in the first 3 when you also say, this flat rate is particularly high.

Not enough traffic = Not enough value for ad space = Not enough adverisers = #resign
Enough traffic = Value for ad space = Advertisers = Profit!

Wait... that site has ads?

I think I take my firefox extensions for granted.

On another note: I stopped voting for this a few days ago because people the likes of Padmeeples made my 1 vote/day absolutely worthless by the mass volume of spam they're vomiting up. I never took the competition seriously, because one look at it and it screams, "Who has the best proxy spammers??" Even if we win 1st place and get recognition for a month, you know it means nothing, right? Winning their monthly competition will never mean anything. Oh, it might get us some new recruits, but with people going out and making asshats of themselves and our community as a whole on other sites... Well, I guess that still makes us cool, right?

Leaderboard shows 667 unique people have logged in in the past month or week, I forget. Assuming a quarter of them voted once per day since the 7th (when we had 200 votes) we would have 2,668 votes. This would be reasonable seeing as some people would be able to vote 3 or 4 times per day from unique locations (Not to meantion people who have access to college computers). A quick look at their voting thead shows it to have 2,296 replies. It's safe to say that more than 400 people have voted for EU without replying in that thread. They win. With 2,668 votes we pull right behind Dominion.

I think we can count on our new influx of players from the mpogd.com site. I found allegiance via mpogd. I know several others here have said they found the game via mpogd, as well.

If we are going to advertise -- we should consider this site. Perhaps do a test amongst different sites, one at a time, and see which gives us the most bang for the buck?

Also, to all you other naterring nabobs of negativity (Raziel and Seymor), just shut your pie holes and VOTE -- and do it often -- at least once per day. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

No longer adding to the count other than the one per day. Let's see how long the peace lasts.

Not everyone logs into the game still, but is still active in the community, thus the data you collected could be way off. Not saying your wrong just saying you cant put it forward as near fact. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Spawn /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" />

P.S. Vote in for today /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
