I smell fear. They saw the massive voting upswing from yesterday and he realizes that he can't possibly win without hours and hours of work. I say WE finish what they started. You can't possibly believe that no one will be 'cheating'.

Just some quotes from this morning:

Archangel:
Got'em, 4 votes more...

whiteknut:
Gave my vote."cough"three votes"cough"

or that they won't start cheating in the last moment, wen it'd be hard for us to notice it and do the coutner-cheat.
(they IC, bombers up, you have no probes. like the outcome?)

we are all talking about cheating, but there is none as far as i know.

you can't wote from the same IP twice in a day. they didn't say you can't change it. or that they ask a person to vote only once per day. if they (site) wanted to keep things fair they could have made voting that requires user name and password, wich would make cheating a bit harder.
but do they want that? HELL NO!

they get paid for every IP that comes to their site. WHY would they want to lower their profit? the "cheating" was enabled on purpouse. they don't react on e-mails. they simply don't care.

sorry, they do care. i think they LOVE us for our little proxy war, since only thing better than a two-party proxy war for them could be a multy-proxy war.

i say we end this charade and go on our usual buissiness.

Now that's just silly.

BTW, there's a precedent in the MMPHMOPGD forum of dropping a proxy voted game.

I just voted HERE and Allegiance was up by almost 200 votes as of 8 am eastern time (US).

As for cheating and the like -- the one IP address also leads to undercounting. For example, if you and you sister play allegiance and you are on a home network -- only one of you can vote each day as the MPOGD site looks at your router IP. Don't believe me, try casting vote from another computer on your home network -- it does not work.

At least for the technically challenged -- this can mean half of votes from legitimate folks are denied.

I saw you both going at it for a while.. It seems he can outvote you, (in terms of speed) but it seems like it is a lot of work on his part. He want's to quit, because he isn't getting paid enough.
