Lol Globey....in the modern era of information control, in the era of drones, let me invite YOU to be the leader of the next revolution

In the medieval era, the powerful had knights who could easily dispatch many serfs. They had castles.

That is nothing compared to the information management, nevermind modern weaponry and tactical control, and drones. Did you happen to notice how quickly the USA crushed the 1M strong veteran Iraqi army? WTH do you think some American citizens with any amount of small arms could begin to do should the nation's military be turned against them? Not that it would have to come to that, because odds are any nascent revolution would be observed and managed long before it came to force of arms.

Regardless of the practical niceties of whether or not one could take arms against a government, why is it so important to refer to the wishes and intentions of a bunch of privileged dead guys when deciding whether or not mass murder should be made harder?

Not sure you and I end up at the same place following the dots in principle but in practice I see the road you traveled down.

Seeing the desperate situation at Calais (Francd) I think our UK neighbors have something else high on their priority list. Also in PKK country. In my little country™ people are getting nervous too.

For the cynical people here: imagine a multiplayer single map of Tower Defenders with not co-operating players. The walls have huge gaps. Weapons are not an option. Than send in refugees being manipulated by cold blooded, calculating country leaders.

Seeing the number of meetings in the EU I doubt there is even an effective plan, except for the political correct yadayada.

And the poor souls travel from country to country.

Firstly, that's what we have armed forces for. If you're relying on a citizen militia for national defense then you're already $#@!ed.

Secondly, the USA is even less likely to get invaded by a hostile nation than the UK is. And any invading force that might be turned back by a citizen militia is going to have to work quite hard to inflict the sort of casualties on you that your current level of gun violence does.

But that's fine, you keep following the ideas of your dead guys because damn it, nobody's had a good idea since the 18th century.

The 2nd amendment is dated. It's also astoundingly oddly written given the way the rest of the Constitution is written.

For example: there are only two sections in the constitution which give a justification for why a particular rule is in place. Name the other.
