Strange how each of the bosses was easier to beat than the last though :/ Did anyone else have a problem where their controls were locked for a few seconds after the end of a cut scene? (most unhelpful as you end up standing there as the bosses open fire on you befoer you can move to take cover)
I had a bash at 100% stealth play yesterday too - not attacking anyone, sneaking past everything, quite good actually.
I played it probably 2(?) years ago and liked it, my only complaints were the graphics, made better by the graphics packs, though they couldn't do anything to fix the way the flash-light works. Once you get into it you don't really notice things like the graphics stuff.MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Aug 31 2011, 05:25 AM) Yeah I've refrained from posting it but I never even heard of the game until seeing it on Steam (maximum oh boy I'm a Dad now got to concentrate on being one timeframe of when it came out in my life is Im sure why). Anyhoo I bought it and within a half hour went *uninstall* wtf was the hype about anyway. After reading this thread it dawned on me it was "groundbbreaking", "innovative", and it couldn't possibly live up to the hype given what was happening is something now considered mundane in game play.
tl;dr It doesn't age well without the reasons it is so beloved (sort of like The Princess Bride, you have to be in the proper age range to think its the @#(!)
Did you install any of the fan-made high-res graphic packs? They make it look nicer...
One thing I particularly remember is completing the training the wrong way - to get past the military robot I attacked it by throwing an explosive barrel at it. It worked in the sense it destroyed the robot, but it also blew my legs off, and I had to crawl with just my arms and torso to the end. It was quite amusing, though rather silly.
