True story. I was there. I lol'd.

Actually, I've noticed Spidey has a habit of booting me, and Vir has a habit of booting Slip...

I'm not sure why you keep harping about how it's always a communication issue, and my only guess is that you're doing it because you've been booted and you want to protect your ego.
Easy now, I have been booted a few times since I have been back and I don't have a problem with them. I stay on top of the game as best as I can and always try to contribute to the team. I don't think I have posted anything that has ever complained about being booted.

When I talk about allegiance communication issues it's because I believe that area of the game has always been it's biggest weakness. It was so far ahead of it time and came so close with the voice chat system, it was just missing the final polish to pull the whole thing together.

I don't disagree that 99.99 percent of the people that come to the forums to complaint about their boot probably did deserve it. That doesn't change the fact for a game that requires a high degree of teamwork and there are almost no tools in the game that facilitate that.

But sure attack me on a personal level, that's a great way to make your point :o

i have never been booted by spidey or vir, but I think i've come close a few times

they are equal opportunity booters though, they would boot their own grandma's if they thought it would help the team toward victory

I would hope they'd boot their grandmothers, unless said elderly lady does not suffer carple tunnel, arthritis, vision imparement, and has the reflexes better than that of a koala.
Oh and she can't keep asking "What's a nan?" We already have enough voobs that ask that question.

The idea that 99% of boots are justifiable is utterly laughable. You want a short answer for failure to retain players, you have it right there: some self important com unilaterally decides that someone else should not be allowed to play. It's the silliest structure I've seen in any game ever.

Ah yes, the reason we have low retention is because of meanie comms booting all the newbies...despite the fact that booting newbies is a bannable offense! I wonder why every "complaining about getting booted all the time" thread/post is made by someone who is either horribly wrong about everything ever (like you) or revealed to be an idiot voob within a page (like Blue_Ghost). It's almost as if there's some common aspect shared by people who get booted all the goddamn time! Booting's not some goddamn indiscriminate plague, I've only been booted once or twice in my entire Alleg career despite having a tendency to whine like crazy over chat when the team's losing. If someone gets booted, it's usually not because of one or two mistakes, but because they're both stupid enough and noticeable enough to make the comm (and often the rest of the team) think "What the hell is this idiot doing" for a significant period of time.

I'll have you know I boot everyone and anyone if they deserve it! Hell I even booted someone like Gstar who I happen to really like - last night for not saving my carrier while he was next to it! :P

MORE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY BOOTING LESS WHINING FROM CLUELESS $#@!TARDS

One way to possibly mitigate a boot is to be on TS. I was enjoying a few barley pops and was interested in chatting then playing and Vir give me a verbal warning over TS instead of a boot. ~yp Thanks Vir :iluv: won't happen again.
