ImmortalZ wrote:QUOTE (ImmortalZ @ Apr 4 2008, 02:22 PM) I've personally seen a meteoric rise in Alleg's regular playerbase.

In 2006, we would get 70 on weekends, 100+ for special games like Anniversaries and such. Fast forward to today where 70 is the norm for weekdays, 150+ is a norm for weekends and nearly 200 for special games.

Squad sizes have doubled and almost tripled compared to their 2006 roster sizes.

To me, that is a huge increase in regular players.
/me shudders to think what the RT roster would be like if it has tripled from 2006 /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Don't go overboard Rhow. Stuff to print that will work as teasers and lure interested people to www.freeallegiance.org is great. Anything that costs money... is pretty unnecessary, I think.

Allegiance is not a game for the masses, I'm afraid. It's a game for the 1% who want challenging entertainment... sort of like Warbirds.

Fileplanet charges for downloads and has no link to this site.So will the people who D/L the game be able to get it running right away without any help? I doubt it. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

why would they link to somewhere to get it free, when they are charging for it? (well, they charge on registration, and you need to be registered to dl from there)

but if people are smart enough to use google...

You don't have to pay to download from FilePlanet - you do need to register though.

That sounds like we should offer them the freeallegianse version. No loss to them, and their users actually get the full product.

We all notices an increase in Newbs.

While we are here and we do get a significant influx of newbs.

I feel that they should be directed to do the 'Training missions', until adept @ them and then proceed to the newb servers.

I'm sure none of us wants the Main Game to be stuffed with (0)s, KB 40+ for all "experienced", if you know what I'm saying.

Me and a few others are enough KB fodder for the vets for now.

And then rating 5+ players allowed to proceed to play in Main Games.

Be nice to the newbies Stingrae, they aren't sticking around. I just looked at the leaderboard, and currently we have just over 800 actives. It was about 1000 when I joined /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
