He's basing it on mini's poor damage output against util hull, but that does not mean that ints are the worst at killing miners, only that they take the longest to kill undefended miners. Certainly, that's one scenario in which a miner can die. But when it comes to "boosting two sectors to the enemy's miners, killing a heavy defensive force, and coming out of that furball with enough remaining combat capacity to easily crush the miner", ints reign supreme. It's silly to pretend that speed, distance, and ship-to-ship combat ability don't play any part at all in miner o; damage classes aren't the only variable.
You are right! If only there was some sort of mobile ripcord station that was also a base you could restock at, that allowed ships like SFs and Figs to rip to the enemy mining sectors! It would let those ships get close to the miners without boosting across the map, and all it takes is a comm with a clue. I may suggest that in this forum!

Oooh you should mention it, also when they rip in, they should rip in at 300mps!!!!!

True enough - I didn't consider carriers, since back in my day they weren't rip stations :)

While you're at it, why not suggest that we make figs more effective at podding the defenders! We could give them thinner hitboxes and medium hull so they can survive longer, and give them a weapon that's more effective against defending ships, and supercharge their boosters, and give them pulse probes to make sure they can find the miner and spot stealthnans! Then we could take away their shields and missiles and call them $#@!ing ints already.

You very deftly avoided mentioning ripcord, which imo is one of the biggest advantages of figs over ints. You can't really fake out a sup team (especially TF sup) with a decoy bomb or htt run - they can rip around and kill both. Ints are sector-bound. Ints can't rip to offensive carriers. The two ships fill different niches and are effective at their roles. It's folly to bring up hitboxes since that is faction-dependent and varies. Belters, dreg, and bios ints have much worse hitboxes than tf, rix, or giga figs.

I didn't mention it because ripcord ability isn't relevant to the fact that figs are worse at killing defended miners, which is what we were talking about, since you seem to have conveniently forgotten. A carrier's nice and all but for the same cost you could just push an op con and have an infinite supply of ints.

an op con push is far easier to stop than a carrier and an angry ball of fighter death swarming around it that's continuously replenishing in numbers

Jimen, please accept that both Drizz and Vir disagree with you, which means you are wrong.
